HISTORY AND ADDITIONAL NOTES
This is a Welsh salmon pattern from the bench of Paul Slaney named after a famous Welsh salmon river the Usk. This modern version has been around since the mid 1930s and the full dressed version probably since the late 19th century. I've placed the USK Grub in the steelhead fly section for lack of a proper salmon fly section. Looks to me as if this pattern is very appropriate for steelhead!!
