  1. Hook - Tiemco 2487, 2457, Daiichi 1150, Mustad 800200BR, Orvis 8891, Eagle Claw LO56. Size 16-20.

  2. Thread - 6/0 to match natural.

  3. Abdomen/Thorax - Glass beads and plastic stars (with center holes).

TYING INSTRUCTION

  1. Head - Insert the hook in the vise and build a single layer thread base. Tie off the thread, remove the hook from the vise and slip a black bead, star, green bead, star, 2 clear beads over the point of the hook. Re-fasten the tying thread at the rear of the clear beads and build sufficient wraps to prevent beads etc. from slipping off the hook's shank.

Kansas tier Henry Armknecht's "Two Star" is a simulation of a midge larva. Vary bead colors to match natural insects.
