HISTORY AND ADDITIONAL NOTES

The concept for the MIni Stone emerged from discovering many first year class golden stone fly nymphs being rolled about in the current of the Box Canyon section of Idaho's Henry's Fork. Like the bugs were everywhere and the fish were in a feeding frenzy. I collected a couple of these cool little bugs for examination later and returned to the river. Immediately on returning home the search began for material to match the color of the bugs I had appropriated from the river. As it turns out the Mini has been successful in a number of Idaho and Montana rivers and streams. At least where golden stones are in residence.
