MATERIALS LIST

  1. Hook - Daiichi 1270, Mustad 80050BR, Orvis 1510, Tiemco 200R. Size 10 to 18.

  2. Thread - Black 6/0.

  3. Weight - .020 inch (.5 mm) lead wire.

  4. Butt - White or lime green "Super Floss".

  5. Case/Body - Natures Spirit Squirrel Brite black dubbing.

  6. Legs - Partridge feather fibers (optional).

TYING INSTRUCTION

  1. Insert the hook in the vise and build a good thread base.

  2. Weight - Wrap length of shank with lead wire leaving some space at the hook's bend and hook's eye. Secure the lead wire with tying thread.

  3. Butt - Tie in the Super Floss at the hook's bend and wrap to the lead wire, secure with tying thread and trim the excess.

  4. Legs (Optional) - Tie in a few partridge feather fibers at the butt tie off point and trim close.

  5. Case/Body - Dub a reversed tapered body (Larger rear than front) to normal head space.

  6. Head - Wrap a small tapered tying thread head, whip finish and cement if you like.

    ADDITIONAL NOTES

    The Cascade Caddis from Linda Foote of Redmond, Oregon is a proven East Slope of the Cascades pattern. Looks like a very good South East Idaho and Western Montana (like maybe the Madison) pattern.
