Experience: None required. CPA candidates are preferred.
Duties: Duties will include various daily accounting functions, e.g., computer input, financial statements, cost reports, balance sheets, and budget.
Beginning Pay: $28,000 to $31,000 per year DOE
About the Area: Jerome, Idaho is a small agricultural based community located in south central Idaho. The community would appeal to most individuals not interested in living or working in a large metropolitan area. Summer and winter outdoor activities are numerous. Four downhill ski areas are within a 65 mile radius of Jerome, including the world renowned Sun Valley. Jerome is relatively close to such major attractions as Yellowstone National Park; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and Salt Lake City, Utah with the 2002 Winter Olympics. Cost of living in the Jerome area is less than the national average. Schools are excellent. Advanced college degrees from Idaho State University and Boise State University are available locally through the College of Southern Idaho. CSI is located in Twin Falls, Idaho, a neighboring community.
About the Organization: Saint Benedicts Family Medical Center is a subsidiary of Saint Alphonsus Hospital located in Boise, Idaho. Saint Benedicts is small but provides excellent medical services to area residents. Because of the hospital's size it offers excellent opportunities for knowledge acquisition, growth, and advancement in the medically related accounting field.
